American Top Chef finalist Stefan Richter has opened a new restaurant in Tampere, in the idyllic setting of Kehräsaari. The Finnish American maestro’s previous employers include such esteemed establishments as the world-renowned Hotel Bellagio in Las Vegas, so you can be sure that his new place by the beautiful Tammerkoski rapids will provide only the most exquisite food in impeccable style. Stefan was the absolute favorite through the entire fifth season of American Top Chef, conjuring up one amazing delight after the other. This man is definitely in a league of his own.
After Top Chef, he wasted no time in setting up a catering business and two restaurants stateside, and now a third one in Tampere, which I don’t think the locals mind one bit.
Stefan's Steakhouse has been furnished and decorated in a traditional vein but with a fresh and modern approach. The indoor area can seat roughly a hundred guests, and in the summer when the terrace is open, the number of seating is doubled. As you may have figured by the name, steaks are the main article here. As an example, the house special: Wagyu beef filet, Kobe-style. In other words, you will be feasting on the finest beef in the world produced by specially bred and fed cattle. We also serve free-range, grain-fed Clare Valley Gold Premium beef from Australia. The staff has gone to great lengths to ensure that each ingredient is of the highest possible quality. Everything is the absolute best it can be. Just the right wines have been selected with utmost care under the guidance of wine experts from the Restamax Group.
Stefan’s Steakhouse is intended for everyone from connoisseurs to people who enjoy delicious food and like to keep good things simple. This is a place where you can casually drop in right after work or spend the evening enjoying a fabulous multi-course meal.
